Isabell Daniel and I will exhibit our work together. With this two person exhibition, we celebrate a deep and enduring friendship, born from and sustained through a shared history with clay. Our ongoing project, where we shake up our own figure-based abstract sculpture through a collaborative studio, materials and place exchange, channels our heartfelt trust and bold playfulness inspired by each other. This is an intentional and conscious determination of focused energy and shared studio time, an exchange based on the foundation of clay that began our forty-plus year friendship at Alfred University in the 1980’s.
